Get in the Halloween "spirit" this year at the Creature Feature Makeup FX Competition hosted by Vancouver Makeup FX.
10 makeup FX artists will be selected to complete a professional 4 hour FX makeup full Creature or Halloween Character.
Contestants must create and bring their own character prosthetics, headpieces, costumes, contacts and accessories.
NOTE: All Prosthetics MUST be created by the makeup artist. Store bought costumes and weapons are allowed but must be modified by the artist. No nudity allowed.
Makeup artists will also be required to have a professionally stocked makeup kit with airbrush & compressor. These rules will be inforced.
Contestants will be judged on: Makeup FX coloration & style, original prosthetic design and character concept, use of wardrobe & accessories.
Creature Feature character ideas: Vampires, Werewolfs, Zombies, Demons, Clowns, Fantasy Creatures, Horror Film Characters, Halloween Characters etc!
Prizes will be given to the top 3 contestants. 1st ($500 certificate), 2nd ($100 certificate), 3rd ($50 certificate)
Previous applicants and contestants are welcome to register again. Contestants will be chosen based on questionnaire and portfolio submission.
Judges will be: Dallas Harvey, Gideon Hay & Tracy Lai
Makeup artists can register online. Deadline for registration is Wednesday October 3rd at Midnight.

Vancouver Mega Comic-Con is proud to be partnering up with the Kids Up Front Vancouver charitable organization. To help make this a memorable event for them we are providing free tickets to children throughout the community. Vancouver Mega Comic-Con will also be holding a silent auction to continue to be able to support this cause.
